When you think of what you want in a master bathroom, “spa-like” is what comes to mind for 99% of the population. Mimi and Jerome wanted just that for their new construction home, but they didn’t want the overall feeling to be stiff or overly formal. How do you combine luxurious finishes and Austin-centric charm? We were inspired by this marble penny tile:
By pairing this fun shape with a natural and neutral material like marble, we achieve the best of both worlds. To see how that translates throughout this spacious bathroom, let’s start at the double vanity.
Leathered countertops offer a modern matte element to the vanity.
Vanity fixtures that provide both uplighting and downlight create a well-lit space for primping.
A modern take on crystal knobs add a bit of glam to the vanity.
Next, we turn to the enormous tub, featuring a wall-to-wall backsplash and ambient overhead light on a dimmer. What a luxe place to soak!
Contemporary brushed nickel fixtures compliment this master bathroom.
The roomy walk-in shower is to die-for, with its concealed toiletry niches and leathered granite bench seat.
The floor tile deserves its own special mention. Featuring a striped pattern of glossy and a sort of shimmery jewel-like texture, it adds subtle bling to the room.
