My apologies for my abrupt absence this week. I tore cartilage in my right knee over the weekend–happy Mother’s Day to me!
While you might assume I’ve spent the week sitting on my butt with my leg propped up, let me just say that sick leave is not part of my self-employed benefits package. Cancelling consultations I’d booked for this week was out of the question, especially since a couple of them involved clients with new homes and construction crews waiting for direction. That first day on crutches didn’t seem so bad until it was too late. By the time I made it through four consultations and a trek through Target, I’d crutched my arms into full-fledged jellydom. Typing on a keyboard was suddenly elevated to a torture level akin to waterboarding.
Now that I’ve had a few days to get acclimated and am trying to slow ‘er down, I’ve forced myself to catch up on my stack of catalogs and magazines…one of which was Grandin Road. Some goodies found therein:
Supercute, no?
How have I never heard about this company? Oh, is it because I’m just a foul-mouthed hack and actually have little to no knowledge of interior design? That must be it. Off to shop in my mind…
