The Rachel Zoe Project features Chiasso lamps.
Was stoked to see these lamps in famed stylist Rachel Zoe’s place, after putting them in a client’s living room. They’re spendier than what I normally feature on this blog, but they are SUPREMELY happy lamps.
Monoco Table Lamp from Chiasso, $398. If you have the means and are interested in ordering this beauty online, be advised that the retailer does not take care to ship the lampshades with enough packing to survive the trip unscathed. After receiving a damaged pair (we’d purchased two lamps), we requested replacements. The second set also arrived in a mangled state, at which time the store all but accused my client of fraud when she asked for replacements for her replacements. IMHO, if you pay 400 bones for a damn lamp, it is reasonable to expect pristine lampshades, no? It seems that in this case, you will do better to also fork over the cash for a Chicago concierge to whip into the lone brick-and-mortar store and carry them by hand to a UPS store for shipping. Those mothers know how to pack something right.
