A couple of years ago, somebody tried to take Craigslist to the next level and created a site called Listpic, which displays Craigslist classifieds by photo rather than text list. It was such a handy tool, it was bound to be doomed, right? Before too long, users of Listpic were growing by leaps and bounds, causing server mayhem for Craigslist, so Craigslist put the smackdown on Listpic. While it still exists, Listpic can no longer display every Craigslist ad with images–they’re limited to a small sampling. And they can’t refresh in real time–they lag a day behind.
Which makes me want to weep.
Flash forward to today and imagine my shock and awe over a “show images” link in the top right corner of Craigslist’s furniture page. Could it be a Listpic-ish option? Why, indeed it is!
Even greater cause for a designgasm? Scroll over thumbnails to see enlarged views. Total buzzkill? The link doesn’t seem to work if you use keywords to narrow your search. Aaargh.

saw your post, jumped with joy, checked craiglist, they aren’t displaying photos on my laptop… any idea why?
I’m guessing a momentary glitch? Hoping it worked out!
Sweet finds! Its about time Craigslist did this, but sure will be a thorn in my site’s side! 🙂
still not working – hm – what browser do you use?
Just realized the “show images” link only appears when you’re viewing “furniture-by owner” listings. Sorry I didn’t catch the problem earlier, Elisa!
