Art: Austin’s E.A.S.T. Tour

Art: Austin’s E.A.S.T. Tour

Buckle up folks, the 10th annual East Austin Studio Tour kicks off tomorrow.  Running both this weekend and next, this is your opportunity to check out (and purchase) a ton of local artists’ work.  Considering the hundreds of artists on the tour, it can be overwhelming to try and tackle the entire list. If you’ve never hit the tour before, my advice is to start with the larger studio complexes that house multiple artists’ spaces…like the Pump Project (stop #57) and its Satellite (#76), Big Medium (#75), Smith Road Studios (#67), Flatbed Press, Bay 6 (#73), Splinter Group South (#53), and Artpost (#54).

My favorite stops:

Jennifer Chenoweth at Fisterra Studio, Stop #8

It makes me pretty happy that our lists are so similar. (:
I’m sorta nervous about the studios that only have one artist. Like – what if I think I’ll like it, but I don’t…so I don’t stay “long enough” or whatever?!?! AAAH!

Heading down tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully we will run into each other! (:
