Blaise is a kid obsessed with all things Star Wars, robot and space oriented, and we are guilty of same. So when Blaise’s parents asked us to help with his bedroom decor in their charming Central Austin home, we were in OUTER LIMITS. We meep-morp’d right over before the ‘rents could change their minds. Fasten your seatbelts, because we’re so in love with how this room turned out, we couldn’t possibly edit down the number of pictures.
Let’s start with the color palette. Green being Blaise’s fave color, it was a natural for the walls. A literal rainbow of accent colors? Yes, please!
Neutral grays are a great backdrop to all of the colorful pillows and toys out on display. To shave a little off the budget, we used clearance-priced shower curtains for window treatments instead of regular curtain panels and saved a ton of money.
That arrow is the coolest nightlight e-v-e-r.
Meep, morp, beep!
Blaise‘s mom has an awesome collection of vintage globes, no? And that topographical map of the moon on top of his shelves? Crazy cool.
We found this mid-century modern tweed chair so mom and dad could have a perch in the room.
We may have played with a few these things. So we could style them properly.
ROAR!
I envy all of Blaise’s toys.
Yes, that is an authentic kids’-sized NASA astronaut suit!
A planet diorama is a must, no?

Blaise, we’ll trade bedrooms with you any day!
