So psyched to see HGTV post more of my work on their Facebook page! This time the commentary is more favorable, although there are still plenty of haters out there. Shocking too, because I just LOVE this room.
Detractors don’t like having a bookcase in the dining room, but they have no way of knowing that this dining room belongs to a novelist who wants to surround herself with books. I totally agree with the folks who point out the room is begging for a rug. The homeowner plans to circle around to getting one when higher priorities elsewhere in the home are taken care of.
This dining room feels very intimate to me, like it’s always ready for a candlelit dinner. One commenter did compare it to The Antonio Treatment “or a little Bromstad!!!” (Exclamation points included.) How’s that for high praise?
If people keep dogging your work I will punch them. In the mouth. I’m gonna have to go tell them what’s up, yo.
And…when I received my email update today from HGTV, one of the pics looked very familiar. Then I realized it was your design of a pink and green girl’s bedroom that I had seen on your site here. Congrats!!
