Before

Carrie and Jay had just moved into to their spacious Westlake home with three kids in tow and needed to flesh out their new dining room. They already had dining chairs covered in a soft golden upholstery, and a stunning piece of art that coordinated with that color beautifully, but their existing dining table was too small and they needed new window treatments.

Full-bodied custom curtains now command attention in Carrie and Jay’s dining room. The fuchsia silk creates a bold statement when paired with a black and ivory ikat stripe and the combination brings a modern touch to the otherwise traditional room. The oil painting gets a prominent place, creating a stunning view from the home’s foyer.

The larger table we found is more proportional to the space and can handle everything from catered dinners to Lego builds, tea parties, and race cars.

The homeowners are fortunate to move in and love the existing crystal chandelier. It’s beautiful, so we can’t resist sharing a closeup!

The finished room is equal parts rustic, modern, industrial, and traditional…yet it all comes together beautifully.
