Before

Having just moved into their large Westlake home, Carrie and Jay wanted help furnishing their new family room. They wanted to move their existing sofa into a playroom and start fresh with a “big ass sectional” (a.k.a., BAS).

After

We found a BAS large enough for the entire family and built a turquoise, green and hot pink color story around it. The colors pop and the arrangement screams “stylish comfort.”

The icy gray, supersoft chenille we picked out for the BAS feels so lush, you want to pet it. A turquoise trellis rug defines the space, and an extra-tall, modern teal lamp provides ambient lighting. Nothing the kids can dish out can destroy the concrete-topped side table—always a plus.

It’s the decorative pillows that really pack a punch. We selected an eclectic mix of hot pink Moroccan, deep teal cut velvet, and blue and green tie-dye for a little Austin-centric vibe.

Silvery cowhide covers the ottoman, atop a modern polished chrome frame base. The texture is in sync with the industrial concrete side table.

A minimal driftwood-stained console table behind the sectional provides a perch for a pair of gorgeous Lucite tripod lamps.

We’re in love with the homeowners’ vintage mint green Mercedes toy car and adore using it as an accessory in the space.
